ME36K9: A nice Apatite-(CaF) specimen from the last pocket found at the Sapo Mine. Thick tabular crystal beveled by the pyramid faces. Deep green color with transparent green zonations in the outer zone. We must emphasize the intense contrast with white-yellowish Albite matrix, with Muscovite.

Group of deep smoky Quartz crystals, one of them clearly dominant and partially doubly terminated, with well defined faces and edges. Crystals are transparent with several inclusions. We particularly like one of the inclusions, located at the top of the main Quartz crystal, of snowy well defined white globular crystals, whose identity we can’t say.

TF67K0: Multiple sceptered growth of doubly terminated crystals that have window formations, geometric zones and inclusions. The sample has a minor “ding” on one of the edges on the left crystal in the second picture. It is not very important because it is on the back of the specimen, but we prefer to note it. The locality is uncommon.

MR96L7: A doubly terminated Elbaite crystal with multiple striations parallel to the main axis, and dissolution forms. One of the terminations is not evident but the opposite is multiple and has been modified by dissolution structures. Good transparency and we would like to emphasize the slight color gradation between reddish tones to greenish blue along the crystal.

Tricolor Elbaite (Tourmaline)

A special find of unusual tricolored Elbaites (Tourmalines) from Brazil. As you can see in the photos the color varies between red-yellow-green. The crystals are totally gemmy, and all of them are very nice. The crystals are not complete at the bottom but their tips are perfect.

TW47M5: The crystal is formed by the six faces of the hexagonal prism and a very acute terminal pyramid. The color shows gradual changes, from the yellow at the base to reddish on the termination, passing through slight orange in the central zone.
